Are We There Yet???? (Anxiously awaiting what's next!)

So are we there yet???? Is Spring here? Are we in recovery or still recessing in the economy?
Seems like today, everyone we talk to is sitting on the edge of their seat waiting for something to happen to push them one way or another on their decisions to move forward. Whether its homeowners doing renovations or selling their homes, or if its a construction job waiting to proceed. Our whole economy in New England is stuck in a holding pattern. Are we waiting for Spring? Or are we waiting to see when our current state of the economy shifts from the downward spiral to the upward climb.
Either way, the world is not going to wait and the economy isn't going to recover without decisions being made. Decisions to grow or decisions to downsize need to be made so things can progress. So business can happen.
As we go through the final months of winter, start considering what projects you are planning for the spring. Now is the time to be contacting your contractors to get pricing and quotes on your spring projects. As the weather warms, everyone will want to react. The contractors, for those who are left, will be swamped with requests and will be hard pressed to provide competitive pricing and quotes, since their crews will be busy.
If you're a homeowner, mortgage rates are low and can allow you to pull equity from you're home at a lower rate and do those nice additions you have always wanted to get done. You'll save on the cost of borrowing the money, and you'll save on the cost of the work.
If you're a small business, the recent moves by our government has allowed for more credit at attractive rates to help expand you're business. It's the small businesses of the US that need to spend and that have the ability to spend. Now is the time to grow your business. People are shopping everything now. Competitors are closing their doors. Don't leave those customers without a place to shop.
Let's go America! We are tough! We are Strong. We can prevail!
